About Us

Stockport Bramhall Hockey Club is located in Stockport, Cheshire and runs three Men's Teams, four Ladies Teams, has a Mixed Section as well as a thriving Junior Section. The club train and play their home matches at two synthetic sports pitches in Stockport.

The clubs own pitch is located at Bramhall Recreation Centre, Seal Road, Bramhall and the second pitch is located at Werneth High School, Harrytown, Romiley. Both pitches have changing facilities.

The club is affiliated to England Hockey who in turn is affiliated to the European Hockey Federation (EHF) and International Hockey Federation (FIH). The FIH is responsible for the production of the "Rules of Hockey" which are the rules that are followed worldwide by all players and umpires participating in the game.

England Hockey governs all hockey in this country from grass roots to the elite end of the sport.

ClubsFirst is England Hockey Board's accreditation scheme for clubs. It is a national recognition of clubs can demonstrate that they are working towards minimum operating standards. All clubs achieving ClubsFirst also achieve the Sport England Clubmark accreditation, a nationally recognised award for sports clubs. Stockport Bramhall Hockey Club were the 150th hockey club to achieve ClubsFirst Accreditation in 2009.

The club is also affiliated to Queensgate Sports Club in Bramhall which has Tennis, Cricket, Snooker and Bowls sections.
