History
Stockport Bramhall Hockey Club was formed in 2011 following the merger of Stockport Hockey Club and Bramhall Hockey Club. The aim of the merger was to create a club for all in Stockport and improve the development of junior hockey in the area. The merger means that the club now runs 3 Men's teams, 4 ladies teams as well as a thriving junior section and a mixed section.
Ladies Club History
Stockport Hockey Club was formed in 2007 following the merger of the Stockport League Ladies Teams:- Forest, Reddish, Edgeley, Stockport and Hadfield hockey clubs.
The league had been established for over 85 years and although focussed on grass roots hockey nurtured players who went onto play for their County and even Country! The ladies section now has four teams entered in the Greater Manchester Hockey League and continue to offer competitive hockey for players of all abilities.
Mens Club History
Bramhall Hockey Club was established in 1902 in the Cheshire village of Bramhall near Stockport, Greater Manchester and are one of the oldest clubs in the Northwest. The club celebrated it's centenary year in 2002/3 season. The club has a long history of developing players and has had several players represent their countries or regions. The men's section of the club currently have 3 teams with the 1st team playing in the North League and the 2nd & 3rd team playing in the North West League.
