Hard fought match

It was a hard fought match between Stockport Ladies 3rd and Didsbury Northern 5s. It was end to end excitement in the first half, the deadlock finally being broken by a cracking shot across the goal from Kelly Shore giving an easy goal for Charlotte Wilkinson. After that Stockport dominated the goalmouth and were rewarded with another successful shot at goal from Charlotte Wilkinson. Another goal from Charlotte was then disallowed and Didsbury suddenly rallied back in the last few minutes of the half. Jean Woolston, Stockport’s goalie, saved the day with some stunning saves.
 
The second half was again end to end excitement but then Stockport let their guard down, and Didsbury were able to get a goal back. Didsbury then piled on the pressure and although Stockport had their chances to, were unable to convert. Didsbury came back again and this time scored an overhead goal and brought the game to an end with a 2-2 draw.
