| 20/09/2008 | Stockport 3s v Stockport 4s | 4-0 |
SHC3s opened with guns blazing in the scorching heat and put the
4s under a lot of pressure. It wasn't until the middle of the first
half that the pressure paid off when Caroline Lumsdon found the net
from open play after some neat passing work around the 4s defence. A
second goal came in the first half when the ball was stopped on the
line by a foot not belonging to Andrea, the keeper. A penalty was
awarded and Sam Piggin put it away. Score at half time 2-0.
In the second half the pressure continued and despite Cristina and
Emma pushing up to put pressure on the 3s defence the next goal to
the 3s came from a short corner which was neatly passed to Sam and
then on to Claire Lumson who put it away. The 4s turned the game
around briefly putting Emma Higgs in a prime position to score from
the right side of the D. She was shut down quickly and the ball went
out of play. Final goal was put away by Sam in open play to bring
the final score to 4-0 to SH3s.
The 3s put in an awesome team performance with neat 1-2-1 passing
and 110% work rate from everyone.
