All 11 played out of their skins  

With it still being half term, the 2nd’s were missing a few players, but rose to the occasion against an undefeated Glossop side. Lucy started the scoring off after 5 minutes but Glossop soon equalised, however for the rest of the half it was all Stockport, with the defence of Sally, Wendy and Jackie clearing any attack and the midfield of Lisa, Lucy and Adele working really hard to supply the young legs of the forwards. Stockport soon had a 2nd after some excellent work from Adele in midfield finding Amy on the right wing, who crossed the ball for Laura to score her first. Glossop managed to get a 2nd goal just on the stroke of half time, to level the match at 2 – 2.

With a team talk from Tim and Adam, who had kindly stayed to watch us after they had played (but lost), Stockport came out firing on all cylinders, passing the ball with one or two touches to each other. From the sideline it looked great. Sam added a 3rd, pushing it in from close range at the post.  Laura got her 2nd, which was from a 1 v1, and fired it in at the far post. Jackie then made it 2 – 5, with a mazy run from the half way line, finishing with a cracking shot from the top of the circle.  Laura got her well deserved hat-trick and Stockport 6th goal with another fine strike (you must get a crack on the ankle more often) Kim Lumsden came close to scoring on a couple of occasions but was narrowly wide. Glossop did manage to get another goal back, I think the defence must have frozen to the spot with the wind whipping across the pitch!  The final goal came from Lucy after a break away down the right from Sam and Amy, the ball was crossed in to the circle, there was a hint of helpful feet from Kim the ball bounced to Lucy who calmly planted it in the goal for her second and Stockport 7th.

Final Score 3 – 7, a great win and all round team performance
