The 2nds played Manchester University 4's in a mid table clash, the visitors had plenty of possession in the 1st half but there was some great defending from Julie Griffiths, Maureen Murphy and Lisa Dalby and so failed to convert any chances. Stockport had great chances Laura Woodhead going narrowly wide and at he end of the 1st half it was 0-0.

The 2nd half brought plenty of goals, Stockport were the 1st to score, from a penalty corner - a great strike from Laura Woodhead, almost immediately the University scored. Stockport didn’t let their heads' drop and with some great work from Lucy Rowbottom and Nicola Attoe and Sam Piggin soon were one up again with Laura getting her 2nd. From the restart the defence were caught snoozing and Man University drew level. After that both teams tried to get a winner and pushed forward, leaving gaps and with some quick passing down the wings, Stockport took the advantage Laura Woodhead scoring her 3rd and 4th. All great performance and secures 2nd division status for next year??
