Well up for the match

Tameside were Stockport 2nds opponents on Saturday and from the off Stockport were well up for the match, and took the lead after 5 minutes after some excellent play down the left in defensive from Kelly passing the ball through Laura in midfield after a quick pass form Josie on the wing the ball found Lisa Horbury who rounded the goalie cooly and slotted the ball home. Stockport kept pressing for a 2nd, with Emma Blackeye working really hard in the centre (She burnt 300 Calories off in the 1st half according to her watch!) and with Helen M and Helen T making some great runs up the right and but even with the introduction of Sam Stockport couldn't get the ball in the net for a 2nd. Tameside stepped up the pressure and scored a flukey goal which dribbled through the legs of Ang in goal. 1 - 1 at half time.
 
After some motivation " let's have them" from Laura at half time, Stockport picked up the pace and Stockport defence of Julie, Mo and Kelly held really tight Sam scored twice and Lisa added a second. In the dying minutes Tameside scored a consolation goal. Final score 4 - 2, excellent performance all round.
