A good performance but an unlucky result.

Our third team faced Heaton this week and it was a very slow start.  Heaton took advantage right from the off and Sam managed to pass the ball past all the Stockport defence and hit the back of the net in just minutes!
 
A little bit messy and unorganised but Stockport soon formed their shape and composed themselves. The midfield were strong, making some good passing and switching the play helping the forwards attack Heaton.
 
Heaton made some fast runs down the right putting Kerry and Gem under great pressure but with some great saves by Andrea and big hits out of the D, Stockport were fighting back. 
 
Still a bit of a slow start to the second half but Stockport picked the game up and applied some pressure on Heaton. Debs took a strike from top D which was caught by the defender, Becks & Kelsey had many shots on goal but, the score remained 1-0 to Heaton.
 
Heaton were very fast on the break and even with Stockport trying to man mark their players it still managed to get past the Stockport defence making it 2-0

Emma made some good runs down the left linking up well with Nat who had a number of shots which unfortunately were saved and it left us out of time to pull the result back.
 
A good performance but an unlucky result..  !  We still have an away fixture to get that win we are looking for..  Come on girls.. we can do it !!!!
